1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using HomeUncovered.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What HomeUncovered Is

HomeUncovered provides data aggregation and AI-assisted statistical analysis of publicly available property information. Our reports are informational tools to help home buyers ask better questions during the purchasing process.

HomeUncovered reports are NOT:

• A licensed home inspection or substitute for one
• A licensed real estate appraisal
• Legal advice or counsel
• Financial advice or investment guidance
• A guarantee of property condition, value, or future performance

Always conduct a licensed home inspection before purchasing any property. Always consult a licensed real estate agent, attorney, and financial advisor for decisions of this size.

3. Report Credits and Payments

• Report credits are purchased in advance and consumed when a report is generated.
• Credits are non-refundable except in the case of a technical failure on our end (report generation fails).
• If a report fails to generate due to a system error, your credit is automatically refunded to your account.
• Credits do not expire.
• All payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms.

4. Accuracy and Limitations of Data

Our reports aggregate data from federal, county, and third-party public sources including flood hazard records, environmental databases, property records, school rating data, crime statistics, and others. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data in a report.

• Property records may be outdated or incomplete.
• AI-generated analysis is statistical inference, not professional judgment.
• Comparable sales data reflects historical transactions and may not predict future values.
• Flood zone and environmental data is sourced from government databases and may not reflect recent changes.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeUncovered and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of or reliance on our reports, including but not limited to financial loss, loss of property value, costs of repair, or any decisions made in connection with a property purchase.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific report giving rise to the claim.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Resell or redistribute report content without written permission
• Use automated scripts or bots to generate reports at scale
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our underlying data sources
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Share your account credentials with others

7. Intellectual Property

The HomeUncovered platform, design, and software are our proprietary property. Report content generated for your purchased reports may be used for your personal home buying decisions. Commercial redistribution requires written permission.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the platform. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@homeuncovered.com.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court proceedings, except where prohibited by law.
